Frequently asked questions
Do I need a boat licence?
It depends on the boat. Our Tinny has a 4hp motor, so no boat licence is required — just valid photo ID. The Bayliner and Stacer have engines over 4hp, so you'll need a current Queensland Recreational Marine Driver Licence (RMDL) or interstate equivalent. You'll need to present your licence at pick-up.
What is included in the hire?
Every hire includes the boat, outboard motor, trailer (if self-tow), all required safety equipment, a full tank of fuel, an esky, and basic fishing rod holders. You just need to replace the fuel you use.
How does the fuel policy work?
Boats go out with a full tank. Return the boat with a full tank, or we will charge for the fuel used plus a refuelling fee. Fuel costs are based on current pump prices.
Can you deliver the boat to a ramp?
Yes. We offer a delivery and launch service for an additional fee. We will tow the boat to your chosen ramp, launch it for you, and collect it at the end of the day. Delivery is available to ramps within the Brisbane region.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If conditions are unsafe, we will work with you to reschedule your booking at no extra cost. If you choose to cancel due to weather that we deem safe, standard cancellation terms apply.
