Frequently asked questions
Do I need a boat licence for the Tinny?
No. The Tinny has a 4hp motor, which means no Recreational Marine Driver Licence is required in Queensland. You'll still need valid photo ID.
Where can I take the Tinny?
The Tinny is best suited to rivers, estuaries, lakes and sheltered waters. We don't recommend taking it into open water — calm creeks and protected estuaries are where it's happiest.
Is it good for fishing?
Absolutely. The Tinny is a classic fishing setup — grab your rods, your tackle, some bait and an esky and you're set. BYO fishing gear.
Can I bring kids?
Yes. The Tinny fits two adults and two children under 12 comfortably. We supply life jackets for all passengers.
How does pick up work?
Self-tow from the Sunshine Coast. You collect the Tinny on its trailer, launch it at your chosen ramp, and bring it back at the end of the day. If you'd like us to deliver and launch it for you, just ask — we can arrange that for a fee.
